Teachers - Are you interested in a Wishing Well Grant?

Picture
**Our grant program is closed for the 2021-22 school year.  We will open up grant opportunities again in Fall 2022!
The HHS PTSA is proud to again support our teachers’ efforts through its Wishing Well Grant Program.  This program is meant to assist teachers in meeting the needs of our Hagerty High School students.  We want you to understand what the Wishing Well Grant program is and encourage you to apply.

A Wishing Well Grant is PTSA budgeted and intended to fund grants to provide financial resources to purchase items for use in the classroom or at the school.  Specifically, it is intended for items that you are unable to fund through the school budgeting process and might otherwise have to go without or consider funding yourselves.

The staff member applying for the grant must be a member of the PTSA for the current school year.  Requests are presented by the Wishing Well Grant chair, at our PTSA board meetings the third Tuesday of each month.  Consideration is given to the number of students impacted, what the funds will be spent on and, of course, if we have the funds available to grant the Wish.  The Board votes and the majority vote determines whether the request is approved, denied, or tabled to gather more information about the request.  Requests for grants exceeding $500 require your presence at the PTSA Board meeting, simply to allow open dialogue about the request.

The link below will take you to the form that must be filled out.  Simply complete it and PTSA will contact you with a decision.

HHS PTSA looks forward to another successful year of continuing to build a supportive foundation for both students and staff.  Your support, through membership, is a primary source of funding for many of our activities. We invite all students, parents, grandparents and community members to join our PTSA.

You can also help by "Sponsoring a Teacher.”  With all they do for our students, please consider purchasing a membership for a well-deserving teacher/staff member of your choice.  Just indicate the staff member's name on your form and we will process that request for you.

Memberships may be purchased at home football games, in the school store, and through our online store.  Forms and dues can be mailed or dropped off at the front desk.

Your membership support is a primary source of funding for all PTSA sponsored programs and activities.  As in previous years, we plan to continue offering our Wishing Well Grant program to meet teacher classroom needs, award Senior Scholarships, provide student assistance, celebrate all teachers and staff during American Education Week and Teacher Appreciation Week, along with donations to many other projects throughout the year.
